| I don't know how I would feel if Chicago one the bid for 2016 Olympics.....
It's a big issue here. Some think it will help the economy and help Chicago break out of the "second city" curse. But others are seeing better ways for the money to be spent.... say, better health clinics?
My thoughts are, if I have to squeeze onto an already packed bus/train to get to work in the morning what is it going to be like with thousands more people here? Our public transportation can't handle that! I guess they'd have to do some major construction really fast... which would kind of rock.
I guess we'll find out tomorrow.
p.s. I come home soon. Oct 7.

| I feel like I just joined a cult... or maybe some kind of "elite club." I just bought a mac and I feel like some how everyone knows. I've been receiving messages via text and computer of "Congratulations!" "you'll realize you weren't really living before a mac," and "congrats on crossing over the the dark side." All I know is, it was a long time coming, I'm excited, and I can never purchase anything again because of how much this thing cost. It was a good price but mos def the most expensive thing I've ever purchased to date. It's been a while.. Kristy | | |
| Lets see.. What are my New Years Resolutions? 1. Eat much much healthier! 2. Graduate college 3. Start up a theatre company 4. Get a JOB! And keep it for more than 2 months (that's my average, I love seasonal jobs) 5. Travel somewhere 6. Get an internship at a theatre (maybe Steppenwolf?) 7. Save money! sounds good. Lets get started. I ate oatmeal for breakfast (no butter or sugar) I'm going to apply for jobs later today. oh and Obama takes office soon! Great start to 2009 | | |
| So I was supposed to be in KS today but my bus got canceled because of the snow. I hope I can get out of here tonight! It's weird because I'm starting to come home less and for shorter amounts of time. I graduate soon. And soon I will be living here in Chicago permanently. That's weird to me because there are a lot of people that I love to see when I am home. Good friends. My nieces. But as I come home less, the less contact I have with certain people. And that to me is very very sad. But on a more interesting note... I was doing this show at the Red Orchid Theatre here in town. It was called "The Very Merry Unauthorized Scientology Pageant"... cast of 10 children... and its a musical.. haha. Pretty fantastic. It was set up like your normal christmas pageant but instead of telling the birth and life of Jesus it tells of L Ron Hubbard's life... It's a satire... completely NOT promoting Scientology. It was very funny and I feel like I learned a little bit about the world through it. And the kids I was working with were FANTASTIC.. I can't figure out how to post it on here so here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_i2NHxGlfI The music is very catchy. Anyways.. I'm getting an epic game of risk in before I leave chi... we're meeting up at a coffee shop and trying to conquer the world. Kansas-bound in 1 hour! | | |
